When did you first start CrossFitting?
October 2013

When did you first start training at StoneAgeFuel?
StoneAgeFuel was my first! I liked getting started with everyone else at a new opening gym. It was much less intimidating.

Favorite workout/movement?
Probably box jumps and kettle bell swings. Although my shin would tell a different story!

Least favorite workout/movement?
Wall balls! I HATE them! I am starting to finally get a little better at them, but I usually take one to the face every time.

Tell us about your sports/fitness background.
I downhill skied and played softball in high school. But, college and babies definitely took a toll on my fitness.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first workout… what was it, and how did it feel?
My friend in another city started doing it and loving it. I was pulled to it because it made other people so shocked and intimidated. I figured if my friends could live to tell about it then I could too. My first workout alone with Chandler looking back now seems so easy, but I was dying! I was so nervous but trying not to seem like I was sucking wind as bad as I was!

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting at StoneAgeFuel? (before / after)
I love being stronger to take on my kids everyday. They are both heavy for their age so I think my back and neck would be a mess without Crossfit. I love how much energy I have. I have seen subtle changes, but I feel about a million times better.

What changes in your life have you experienced from StoneAgeFuel that were totally unexpected?
I never expected I would be so addicted to working out. I always thought those people were crazy! I used to hate running, and I have actually found myself doing a few runs for fun.

Please share with us any favorite StoneAgeFuel moments.
My goal starting Crossfit on day one was to do a rope climb. I felt like that would be something I could achieve far in the future, but I did it week three the first time we learned it! I lived on that high for weeks!

Any advice for people just getting started?
Just show up and take it slow. Look at what other people are doing and realize that you are not far from being able to do that too! Even though it seems insane. Also, set a goal.

What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit at StoneAgeFuel?
Being a mom to my two kids, Paleo nutrition, natural lifestyle/healthcare, sewing, skiing, boating, traveling and trying to write my RN resume after not working for 2 years….
