When did you first start CrossFitting?

When did you first start training at StoneAgeFuel?
Burpees, wall balls, box jumps, running
Least favorite workout/movement?
Rope climbs-probably, because I still can’t complete one so I get frustrated.
Tell us about your sports/fitness background.
I’ve been working out pretty faithfully since my early 20’s and have always done some form of strength training. I’ve been cycling for many years and used to teach indoor power based cycling classes. As I’ve gotten older I have noticed that I do better with keeping the body fat down by doing more strength based rather than cardio based workouts.
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first workout… what was it, and how did it feel?
I first got exposed to Crossfit when I was teaching bike classes at a local Crossfit affiliate. I was allowed to take classes for free when I was an instructor there. I went thru a 4 week ramp up before doing a real workout so I don’t think it was that bad.
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting at StoneAgeFuel? (before / after)
My legs are definitely getting stronger from all the squatting!

Getting a 30lb back squat PR within 6 weeks of joining.
Any advice for people just getting started?
Take it at your pace and work your way up. Do what your body is capable of doing and don’t try to compete with everyone else.
What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit at StoneAgeFuel?
Cycling, hiking, walking, skiing.
