Tell us about your sports/fitness background.
I was born practically running and raised playing every sport I could try. I played basketball, soccer, and ran track through high school, then ran D1 track in college. Now I ski, run, and CrossFit.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first workout… what was it, and how did it feel?
I was first exposed to CrossFit by my boyfriend. He used CrossFit to train for triathlons and competitions, and the results were incredible. Seeing how fit and healthy it made him made me realize I was missing out if I didn’t go try it. My first CrossFit workout was at Stone Age fuel, and well it didn’t take a long time, it kicked my butt! Being around a group of people who were already experienced at CrossFit, yet so supportive as I started to learn, was not only encouraging but made me want to push myself as far as I could go. The level of motivation and drive I get in that environment gave me a new addiction, Crossfit. Even when I frequently travel for business, Chandler and Stephanie give me direction on making the most of anywhere I am, whether it’s a hotel gym or a regular one.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting at StoneAgeFuel? (before/after)
So far, so good! I am in better shape, my diet has gotten significantly better, but it’s only been a few months. This week I start the Fluff to Tuff Paleo challenge and I have nothing but great expectations!!

What changes in your life have you experienced from StoneAgeFuel that were totally unexpected?
I have felt the confidence to start competing again! From CrossFit competitions to relays like the Ragnar series, I am striving to maintain a lifestyle I never thought I could get after my career ending knee injury in college.

Please share with us any favorite StoneAgeFuel moments.
The kids. Oh my goodness. If I could swing around on the rings with half the ease that they do, I’d be an Olympian! But most importantly, I was welcomed in to the family from day one! From a giant ice bucket challenge at Wild Waters to Paleo picnics to the bring a friend or family member day, everyone is friends!

Any advice for people just getting started?
Keep it up! When you are so sore that the stairs make you want to just sleep in your car instead of climb up to your condo, just keep going. The feeling of healthy, the happiness from incorporating this into your life can’t be compared. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions!

What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit at StoneAgeFuel?
I plan to travel, it’s always been a goal of mine. I also love to read (seriously, I read everything I get my hands on!) and anything outdoors. I camp and hike all spring and summer, and I hunt and ski all winter! I’m an adrenaline junkie, I can’t help it!
