The overhead squat is a foundational movement when learning to snatch and it can be considered an excellent core strength and conditioning movement. To perform the overhead squat do the following:
1) Place the bar overhead with a wide grip. Preferably in your snatch grip.
2) Once the bar is overhead pretend like you’re spreading the bar apart and push up.
3) Squat with your weight centered and chest up
