The Tall Snatch is an accessory movement for the Snatch and is performed in the following way:

-Stand upright with a barbell in the Snatch grip utilizing the hookgrip

-To initiate the movement do not use your hips instead just pull up and punch under the bar. It’s important to note that you are not pulling the bar as high as you can you are simply pulling it up high enough to be able to push yourself under the bar

-When you catch the bar in the landing position you should be actively spreading the bar apart and pushing up on the bar

-Finally stand up with the barbell and you’ve performed your first successful rep!

The Tall Snatch is an accessory movement that can be utilized to develop speed under the bar, a strong turnover and a stable bottom position.
