The ring row is an excellent movement that can be used to strengthen the upper back and the shoulders. The ring row can also be utilized to put the shoulders into a good position for someone who has constantly poor posture or anyone who has shoulder pain from rounding the shoulders forward.
To perform the ring row do the following:
-Start by grabbing the rings that have been placed approximately shoulder width apart
-Lean back and hang from the rings with your heels on the floor
-with your palms facing each other begin pulling yourself to the rings. You can step higher or lower to make it easier or harder to pull yourself up
-As you begin pulling focus on pulling your hands to your armpits and squeezing your shoulder blades together
