Top Three Fitness Mistakes You Must Avoid!
The fitness world is often bombarded with tons of advertisements, experts, gurus and conflicting information at every turn. We’re here to help you figure out what works and what doesn’t. Without further ado here are the top three fitness mistakes!
1) Thinking that you can out train a bad diet. Diet is often more than 50% of the battle in weight loss or any fitness endeavors. You must focus on eating right if your want to see real results and continue to see those results for a long period of time. If you don’t eat right your progress will eventually taper off and you will not see the results you’re looking for until you get the diet back on track.
2) Thinking weight loss is all about cardio. Cardio is usually the go to method for those looking to lose weight. They figure that it’s important to just keep moving for a long period of time and sweat off the fat. The problem with this thinking is that you will burn off your stored carbohydrates, but you will also raise your cortisol levels in the process. This creates the belly fat that’s notoriously hard to get rid of. You’d be better off sprinting once week, lifting weights once a week and doing some high intensity interval training once a week. Or come see us and get the whole package!
3) Not sleeping at least 8 hours a night. We can do all the exercise in the world, eat right, manage stress and live the dream. But if we don’t sleep we may as well throw it all out the window. Sleeping is the most important aspect of losing weight and if you’re not sleeping you will raise stress hormones that signal the body to eat. This causes you to overeat and makes weight loss a struggle.
Focus on these three simple things and you should be good to go in your fitness goals and ready to tackle the world!
